Jane is a Gumbaynggirr woman, living on Country and working on the beautiful lands of the Gumbaynggirr, Bundjalung and Yaegl peoples.  She is a physiotherapist and is currently work in an arthritis service at Grafton hospital.  Jane became involved in research a few years ago and began her PhD journey last year.  As an early career researcher, she is currently working on projects with a focus on chronic musculoskeletal conditions including back pain, arthritis and persistent pain, with a special interest in improving the access to health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with musculoskeletal conditions.

Jane has been involved with the Staying Moving Staying Strong project, which recently launched the first co-designed, culturally informed, evidence-based arthritis education resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It includes information brochures and videos for four arthritis conditions- osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and gout.
